Playoff Fantasy Football League
Last updated: August 2026
A playoff fantasy football league is a full snake draft, played against friends or the public, that runs only during the NFL playoffs. It's a postseason fantasy football league, not a season-long commitment. Draft your roster before Wild Card Weekend, then manage your lineup round by round through the Super Bowl. Creating or joining your first league is free.
How the league format works
Set a draft time, invite your league, and draft a full roster in a live snake draft, the same core mechanic as a traditional fantasy draft, just compressed into the playoffs. Your commissioner controls the league name and draft time, and every league gets a randomized or manual draft order at no cost. Once the draft happens, you set your lineup each round and score points based on how your roster performs.
Free public playoff fantasy football leagues
Don't have enough friends for a full league? Join a free public playoff fantasy football league and get matched into a league with other players. Creating your own league is just as free as joining a public one. Both draw from the same free allotment, so whichever you choose, your first league costs nothing.
What's free vs. what needs PRO
Free, no PRO required: your league name, draft date and time, and draft order (randomized or manual). PRO unlocks deeper customization, including league size, scoring format, roster construction, max players per NFL team, time per pick, and round-by-round score multipliers. League settings lock once the draft starts, for free and PRO leagues alike, so lock in your setup before draft day.
Frequently asked questions
Is it free to create a playoff fantasy football league?
Yes. Creating your first league is free, and joining a league (public or by invite) is free as well, sharing the same free allotment.
What league settings are free to customize?
League name, draft date/time, and draft order (randomized or manual) are free. Deeper settings, like league size, scoring format, roster construction, and round multipliers, require PRO.
Are there free public playoff fantasy football leagues I can join?
Yes. If you don't have a full group of friends, you can join a public league and get matched with other players for free.
Can I change my league settings after the draft starts?
No. Settings lock once the draft begins, for every league regardless of tier, so finalize your setup before draft day.
How many leagues can I be in for free?
One, whether you created it or joined it. Created and joined leagues share the same free limit, and PRO raises that to five.
